The Americans have given Afghans the gift that keeps on giving: a conflict that’s killing more civilians than ever. By failing to defeat the insurgency, the Americans and their partners are just as responsible for the Afghans still dying in someone else’s war.

Reza Hosseini, who has been working with the ISF to assist us in disseminating the work of Idries Shah in Afghanistan, gave a presentation last week in the Lincoln Center in Mazar-e-Sharif. The presentation included an introduction to Idries Shah and discussed his life, work and the importance of his contribution to increase Western knowledge about Eastern philosophy. The audience asked him to arrange another session, focusing on Shah’s “Reflections”.
